UC Master Gardeners: Replacing Your Lawn

UC Master Gardeners: Replacing Your Lawn Online

Drought is a fact of life for gardeners in Santa Clara County. To save water, many people are choosing to replace or reduce the size of thirsty lawns. Having less grass to maintain allows gardeners to grow edibles or native plants, or maybe create a playground or a bee sanctuary where the lawn once was. This talk by UC Master Gardener Anita Rosen will outline the benefits of lawn replacement, explain methods for doing it, and share some beautiful lawn alternatives and design ideas.
