SVR: Children's Essay Contest: Parker Looks Up

After listening to the book, Parker Looks Up: An Extraordinary Moment by Jessica Curry on the Library's Facebook page. Think about who (could be a friend, relative, or historical figure) makes you feel connected to yourself, your culture, and your dreams? How does this person make you feel strong and powerful? Then, write an essay answering those questions for a chance to win a prize! Please see guidelines for each grade level in the entry form below.

Deadline has been extended! Entries are now due by Sunday, Feb. 28. Please attach your story, along with a completed entry form (can be downloaded from this page), in an email to khuerta@sunnyvale.ca.gov with the subject line CHILDREN'S ESSAY CONTEST.

Winners will be announced Friday, March 5 (updated from Feb. 26)
