Learn about the relationship between the Chinese language and computing technology in this talk from Thomas S. Mullaney.

Thomas S. Mullaney is a Professor of Chinese History at Stanford University. His new book, The Chinese Computer: A Global History of the Information Age, explores the many iterations of Chinese language computing technology from the wake of World War II to today. His work has been featured in the LA Times, The Atlantic, the BBC and in invited lectures at Google, Microsoft and Adobe. He holds a Ph.D from Columbia University.

This program will take place in the Library Program Room. Registration is not required.
