Join us for the fascinating story of how the Chinese language overcame unparalleled challenges and revolutionized the world of computing. In his new book The Chinese Computer: A Global History of the Information Age, Stanford professor Thomas S. Mullaney explores the many iterations of Chinese language computing technology from the wake of World War II to today.

Thomas S. Mullaney is a Professor of Chinese History at Stanford University. His work has been featured in the LA Times, The Atlantic, the BBC and in invited lectures at Google, Microsoft and Adobe. He holds a Ph.D from Columbia University.
