Documentary: A Rising Tide: A Look at Homelessness in Alameda County In-Person

Watch a documentary by local filmmaker and law clerk Cheryl Fabio. A Rising Tide follows children, their families, and service providers struggling with homelessness and housing insecurity in Alameda County. In the film, medical professionals illustrate how growing rent burdens drive working families into homelessness.

A Rising Tide was an official selection at the 2023 Oakland International Film Festival and the 2024 African American Women in Cinema Film Festival.

The screening will be followed by a brief Q&A with the filmmaker.
